Due to expanding workload at Studio Tor Architecture, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Architectural Technician to become a key part of our small and friendly studio. If you enjoy working on a diverse mix of projects—from domestic and heritage to commercial—and want to grow your career in a supportive environment, this could be the perfect opportunity.
The Role
This is a varied role where you’ll be involved across all stages of the design process. You’ll have the chance to contribute meaningfully to projects from initial concept through to technical delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assisting and undertaking measured surveys of existing buildings
* Supporting the development of concept designs
* Preparing and submitting planning applications
* Producing detailed technical design packages
* Communicating with clients, consultants and stakeholders
* Working both independently and collaboratively within a small team and meeting timescales.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is not only technically capable, but also proactive and eager to contribute to the success of the business.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in a similar role
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Archicad
* Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal, including clear drawing presentation
* Knowledge of NPPF, Building Regulations and various construction methods.
* The ability to manage your own workload as well as collaborate with others
* A full driving licence and access to a car
