About the role:
We are proud to work in partnership with Medway City Council, delivering high-quality property repairs and maintenance services across the local housing stock. Together, we ensure residents receive prompt, professional repairs with a strong focus on customer care, safety, and value.
We’re now looking for an experienced Glazier to join our growing team, working in a busy repairs environment across residential properties in Gillingham.
Role Responsibilities
1. Replacing broken or damaged glass units in windows, doors, and screens
2. Measuring, cutting, and fitting glass safely and accurately
3. Carrying out glazing repairs in both occupied and void properties
4. Diagnosing faults and recommending appropriate repair solutions
5. Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards
6. Making safe following breakages and emergency call-outs
7. Using handheld devices (PDA) to log work and update job status
8. Liaising with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
9. Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicle to a high standard
10. Supporting other trades and contributing to a positive team environment
Role Criteria
11. Proven experience working as a Glazier
12. Experience undertaking domestic glazing repairs and replacements
13. Competent in measuring glass and confidently ordering materials with suppliers
14. Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements when handling glass
15. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
16. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
17. Good communication skills – verbal and written
18. Basic IT literacy for logging and reporting tasks
19. Full UK driving licence
