Oracle Account Manager
Location: Harrogate/Hybrid
Job Description: You will be tasked with identifying opportunities within existing customers to sell Oracle solutions (on premise & Cloud) in combination with Vertice’s Expert & Managed Services. Most of the business that you generate will be via new business so you won’t be afraid to qualify opportunities within “cold” companies (existing Oracle users but new to Vertice). You will be responsible for the complete sales cycle and you will have a defined process that enables you to be successful (identification, positioning, nurturing, negotiating, closing and on‑going account management for upsell/cross‑sell). You will have monthly targets to achieve and will be given 3 months to get up to speed with the role and build a sustainable pipeline for continued success. You will use your network of contacts within Oracle to develop new opportunities and campaigns for yourself to further improve your pipeline.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Target existing customers to identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities.
* Target known Oracle users, who are not yet Vertice customers, to identify opportunities to sell our unique services.
* Take full responsibility for the lifecycle of the sale – profiling, qualification, pitching, proposing, nurturing, negotiating and closing.
* Maintain on‑going account management of your customers.
* Achieve month‑on‑month sales targets and continue to grow your number.
Key Skills and Competencies
* At least 5 years sales experience in the Oracle ecosphere (Software licenses, Cloud, Expert Services, Managed Services, Hardware).
* Proven success in the role, demonstrated via target‑to‑earnings performance.
* Strong sales acumen, with a defined process to sell successfully.
* Articulate – both orally and in written communication.
* Decisive, focused and resilient in nature.
* Relevant qualification, Relevant experience, Excellent customer service and communication skills.
