Role: Senior Business Development Manager / Hunter – IT Solutions (Manufacturing)

Role Overview
We are seeking a high-calibre, results-driven Business Development Leader (Hunter Profile) to drive new business acquisition and large deal closures within the Manufacturing sector in the UK & Europe.
This is a strategic sales role focused on building new client relationships, expanding market footprint, and positioning advanced IT and Digital Engineering solutions across enterprise defence and aerospace clients.
Key Responsibilities
New Logo Acquisition (Core Focus)
* Drive aggressive new business development within UK/EU
* Own the entire sales lifecycle: prospecting → qualification → solutioning → closure
* Build strong CXO-level relationships (CIO, CTO, Chief Digital, Engineering Heads)
* Create and execute account penetration strategies for target clients
Solution Selling (IT + Digital Engineering)
Lead sales of high-value solutions including:
* Digital Engineering & ER&D
* PLM / Engineering IT (Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE)
* Cloud (AWS / Azure), Data & AI platforms
* Cybersecurity & Defence IT
* Industry 4.0 / Smart Manufacturing
* SAP / ERP transformation
Revenue Ownership
* Own and deliver multi-million-pound revenue targets (£5M–£50M+)
* Build and manage a robust qualified pipeline
* Drive large, complex deal closures in a competitive environment
🤝 Ecosystem & Stakeholder Engagement
* Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, alliances, and leadership teams
* Engage with defence primes, OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and MoD ecosystem
* Leverage partnerships with Accenture, Capgemini, IBM, CGI, AWS, Microsoft, SAP, Siemens, Dassault, PTC
Domain Expertise (Mandatory)
Strong experience in one or more:
* Retail Manufacturing
* Defence Manufacturing (MoD, defence contractors)
Good understanding of:
* Engineering lifecycle (Design → Build → Maintain)
* Supply chain & manufacturing systems
* Defence compliance & regulatory frameworks
Required Skills
* Proven hunter profile with strong new logo acquisition track record
* Extensive experience in IT services / consulting / digital transformation sales
* Demonstrated success in closing large deals (£5M–£50M+)
* Strong network within UK/EU Aerospace & Defence ecosystem
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence
* Ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
Preferred Skills
* Experience with PLM platforms (Teamcenter, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE)
* Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, Cloud, AI/ML, Data platforms
* Prior experience working with:
* Accenture / Capgemini / CGI / IBM / DXC
* Sopra Steria / Fujitsu / Atos / QinetiQ
* Any Indian IT Company
Education
* Bachelor’s degree (Engineering / Technology) BTech
