Hays is working with an Academy based in Bradford for the temporary recruitment of an HR Generalist to deliver an effective HR service, coordinate HR and recruitment activities, and manage HR Administration colleagues. Support the implementation of the Trust's HR policies, leadership development, and HR strategy aligned with school improvement priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Policy Implementation: Manage ER casework, liaise with trade unions, and escalate cases as needed.
2. HR Advisory: Coach and advise leadership and middle leaders on HR processes.
3. Recruitment Management: Oversee recruitment procedures, onboarding, and ensure compliance with legislation.
4. HR Service Delivery: Ensure processes and systems are accurate and compliant.
5. Employee Wellbeing: Support attendance and wellbeing activities, manage OH referrals.
6. HR Reporting: Produce reports with HR data and metrics for leadership.
7. HR Correspondence: Issue high-quality HR communications related to casework.
8. Employee Records Management: Manage employee records and checks.
9. Training Coordination: Oversee HR and safeguarding training.
10. Line Management: Manage HR Administrator, including performance reviews.
11. Team Participation: Attend meetings, training, and process improvements.
12. Compliance: Follow policies on equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety, security, and confidentiality.
Experience Required:
* Experience in HR advisory, managing ER casework, and handling priorities.
* Experience with HR and payroll systems, HR projects.
* Experience in education or local government HR processes (desirable).
* Knowledge of employment legislation, KCSIE, Safer Recruitment, safeguarding children and young people.
* Strong organizational skills and adaptability.
