Energy Sales Manager – UK (Remote) Focused on HMIs, Substations & Switchrooms £65,000 Bonus Benefits Overview A leading organisation in industrial automation and energy technology is seeking a Energy Sales Manager with a strong background in HMI solutions, substation automation, and switchroom technologies. This role suits someone who thrives in the evolving UK power landscape and wants to drive digital transformation across substations, switchgear environments, and distributed energy infrastructure. Role Summary Reporting to the Sales Director, you will lead sales and business development across substation automation, HMI/SCADA visualisation, switchroom control systems, and MV/HV infrastructure projects. You’ll manage the full sales cycle—engaging end users such as DNOs, utilities, EPCs, and energy producers—while collaborating with system integrators and OEM partners to deliver scalable, compliant automation solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a strategic sales plan focused on HMI platforms, substation automation, switchroom control systems, and MV/HV digitalisation. Identify and engage key stakeholders including grid operators, renewable energy providers, switchgear manufacturers, and HV/MV installers. Build strong relationships with system integrators, EPCs, OEMs, and technology partners delivering substation and switchroom solutions. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closure across HMI/SCADA, RTU/PLC-based substation control, and energy automation projects. Work closely with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions aligned with grid compliance, protection coordination, remote monitoring, and digital switchroom initiatives. Track market trends in substation automation, IEC standards, HMI/SCADA evolution, and smart grid technologies. Represent the organisation at industry events, positioning the business as a leader in substation digitalisation, smart switchrooms, and advanced HMI visualisation. Candidate Profile Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within energy, substations, switchgear, or industrial automation. Strong understanding of HMI/SCADA systems, substation automation, MV/HV switchgear, grid compliance, and energy management technologies. Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle and working with system integrators, switchgear OEMs, and technology partners. Commercially minded with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities in substations, switchrooms, and distributed energy. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive stakeholders. Results-driven, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
