Job Description
We are supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme at Hinkley Point C.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level engineer or technical professional to join as a Configuration Controller, supporting the management and control of critical engineering documentation across a large-scale infrastructure project.
This role would suit candidates from civil engineering or technical backgrounds who are highly organised, detail-oriented, and interested in working within a regulated engineering environment. This is not a design role but focuses on document control, configuration management, and engineering governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support configuration control of engineering and project documentation
Review and manage redline drawings and engineering changes
Ensure engineering documentation aligns with project and regulatory standards
Track and manage document revisions and change requests
Support engineering and project teams with document accuracy and compliance
Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
Maintain configuration records and ensure traceability of changes
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and project functions
Qualifications
Required Skills:
2-4 years experience in an engineering, technical, or document control role
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Strong communication skills and confidence working with engineering teams
Proactive mindset and ability to work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
Experience managing engineering documentation or drawings
Familiarity with configuration control or document management processes
Experience working in construction, infrastructure, nuclear, or regulated industries
Understanding of change management processes
Knowledge of nuclear or major infrastructure projects
Awareness of the Hinkley Point C programme
