Role OverviewHays Education is seeking an experienced Maths Teacher to join the Mathematics Department at a respected independent day and boarding school in Nottingham. This long‑term position requires the successful candidate to teach GCSE Maths. Experience of teaching A Level Mathematics is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. GCSE and A Level – Delivering well‑structured and engaging lessons
2. Planning and Assessment – Preparing lessons and assessing in line with school expectations
3. Student Support – Helping students of varying abilities achieve strong oues
4. Behaviour and Safeguarding – Maintaining high standards in the classroom
5. Departmental Contribution – Supporting wider school initiatives
Candidate Requirements
6. Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
7. Experience teaching GCSE Maths and A Level Maths (desirable but not essential)
8. Strong subject knowledge andmitment to academic excellence
9. Ability to inspire and motivate students in a high‑performing environment
