Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer, you will:
* Support senior engineers in producing electrical designs, cable/lighting calculations, and technical specifications.
* Assist with site surveys and on-site project management activities.
* Set up project drawings in line with company standards.
* Produce accurate and detailed 2D drawings from engineers’ mark-ups.
* Upload and download drawings and documentation using shared file platforms.
* Work collaboratively to refine and maintain electrical drawing standards.
* Produce and manage drawing issue sheets throughout each project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
We’re looking for someone with:
* A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
* Foundational knowledge across key areas, including:
o Electrical distribution (LV, and basic understanding of MV)
o Circuit protection and cable sizing
o Emergency lighting and compliance standards
o Small power and data systems
o UK Building Regulations, especially:
+ BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
+ Part L – Conservation of fuel and power
+ CIBSE guides
* Competence in producing 2D plans, elevations, and sections.
* Knowledge of Revit (advantageous but not essential).
* Strong attention to detail and an ability to work to project deadlines.
