Role Summary:
We are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in London. This role is ideal for a proactive, analytical professional seeking to develop their career in FP&A and Commercial Finance, gaining broad exposure in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, insightful financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making, while working closely with commercial and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain regular reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance, including:
-Monthly P&L reporting
-KPIs and departmental spend analysis
-Client revenue and gross margin analysis
* Perform sales and revenue analytics to improve understanding of business line and customer performance
* Summarise and present financial findings to senior leadership in a clear and actionable way
* Conduct ad hoc analysis of operational and financial datasets to support planning and decision-making
* Develop and build reports in finance systems (experience with SAGE Intacct and Datarails preferred)
* Act as a business partner to commercial and operational teams, helping them interpret financial performance and drive informed decisions
* Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and add value through enhanced analysis
About You:
* Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial colleagues
* Proactive and organised, able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
* Experienced in Excel and comfortable learning new finance systems
* Working knowledge of the three financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
* Typically 3+ years of experience in a finance or commercial finance environment
* Ideally seeking a career in FP&A / Commercial Finance and eager to develop in a private equity environment
* London-based, with the ability to work in the office 3+ days per week
