Role Overview
As a Developer at Leidos, you will participate in implementing full lifecycle solutions for modern application and system platforms from requirements analysis, platform selection, technical architecture design, application design and development, through testing and deployment. Your key responsibilities will include delivering end-to-end projects on cloud, developing, designing, and building integrations to various systems, and performing overall testing.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Act as a developer, integrator, and analyst for complex assignments; collaborate with other developers on production issues.
* Participate in application walkthroughs and peer code reviews for conformance to standards.
* Create and maintain appropriate documentation.
* Apply information technology software standards and help establish department-specific standards.
* Build Java programs to support business needs, working with a complex IT solution.
* Understand Build and Deployment best practices.
* Adopt a practical, hands-on approach to deliver what is needed.
Skills Required
* Degree in Computer Science or Technical Science or similar.
* Experience in software development projects; front-end and back-end development.
* Experience in unit, integration, system, and regression testing.
* Strong hands-on coding experience in Java and related technologies (Java/JavaScript, Python, Perl).
* Experience with frameworks such as React, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Angular, Vue.js, and Java Spring.
* Experience with software development tools (Jira, Confluence, Git, SVN, Jenkins, Packer).
* Experience or interest in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
* Strong interest in growing technical skills; innovative, resourceful, and collaborative problem solver.
* Integration experience with XSLT / XHTML / IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM Sterling OMS.
Additional Qualifications
* Experience or interest in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
* Knowledge of UNIX or Linux environments.
* J2EE, RESTful Web Services, Node.js.
* Advanced proficiency in Build Management, Configuration & Release Management, Design & Build Enablement.
* Further integration experience with XSLT / XHTML / IBM WebSphere MQ / IBM Sterling OMS.
Clearance Requirements
* BPSS pre-screening required to start.
* SC clearance required for the role (must be eligible for SC clearance).
