We are looking for a hard working and motivated nurse, that is excited about working and developing their skills within clinical research delivery.
Our team has a very busy portfolio with a wide range of studies, requiring dedicated staff, committed to supporting our participants and research.
We are a diverse team of research nurses, practitioners and administrators. Working closely with clinicians to support and deliver research across our patient groups. The team comes from a variety of backgrounds such as Nursing, Mental Health, Psychology, Biochemistry and NHS to name a few.
We are happy to consider internal applicants for secondments as well as new graduates.
A tailored induction will be developed and new staff provided with support from senior staff for mentorship in thier first months.
Main duties of the job
Employed as a research staff nurse to facilitate the research pathway for participants in clinical trials. Will be directly involved in:
1. assessing, planning & implementing care for clinical trial participants during research visits.
2. collection and documentation of accurate data and record of care if appropriate.
3. provide support for a range of research studies and be expected to be flexible to work across a broad portfolio.
4. assist in the recruitment & retention of participants.
Fulfil the expectations and capabilities as delegated by the Sponsor, Chief Investigator or Principal Investigator as set out in GCP & Research Governance Framework
Work collaboratively with OUH service delivery colleagues to ensure high quality participant care and experience.
You will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways for patients and carers participating in clinical studies focused mainly on Ageing, Dementias and Neurology.
You will work collaboratively with the clinical trials team and the wider multi-disciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of clinical trial patients.
