Position Overview
Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Finance & Procurement is offering a part-time Associate Director of Finance – Financial Management role. This shared position will be staffed by two post holders who lead and deliver a highly effective financial reporting function for the Trust. The role is 22.5 hours per week, with three days a week (Thursday, Friday and one other day to be agreed). Working from home is available to support a flexible work‑life balance.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high‑quality financial management service throughout the Trust to ensure accurate and timely management information on the overall financial position.
* Report on the income and expenditure position, including achievement of the Capital Investment Plan (CIP).
* Prepare and present financial reporting to the Trust Assurance Committees, NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE) and the Integrated Care System (ICS) Chairman and Governance Manager.
Qualifications
* High level of financial skills, ideally gained in an NHS environment, with a focus on financial reporting and modelling.
* Analytical, communication and people‑management skills.
* Thorough understanding of NHS financial reporting requirements.
* Ability to influence internal and external customers, build strong relationships, work under pressure and prioritise workload efficiently.
