Job Title: Site Engineer (Civil / Earthworks)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Engineer to join a major civil engineering project in Oxford. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and delivering site works, with a focus on earthworks operations and technical site engineering support.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and programme site works in coordination with the Site Manager and project team
Produce and manage dig permits and ensure compliance with site procedures
Carry out basic setting-out duties using Leica GPS equipment
Support and oversee earthworks operations, including cut/fill control and progress tracking
Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Liaise with subcontractors, plant operators, and project management team
Maintain accurate site records, as-builts, and quality documentation
Assist with QA checks and ensure adherence to design drawings and specifications
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Competent in setting out using Leica GPS (or similar total station/GNSS systems)
Experience in earthworks supervision and site coordination
Ability to plan and programme works effectively
Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
Knowledge of health & safety procedures on construction sites
CSCS card required (or equivalent site certification)
SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable)
