Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (M365 & Azure)
Contract Length: 12 months
Rate: £600-£700 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Edinburgh (2 days onsite) + remote working
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 12-month contract. The primary focus will be supporting day-to-day operations and enhancing understanding of both On-Premise and Cloud Infrastructure. Over time, you will transition into project-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
Service Support & Development
1. Manage incidents and requests escalated to the Infrastructure Team.
2. Identify and implement improvements to technical processes.
3. Collaborate with other technical teams for incident resolution and process enhancement.
4. Document technical processes and mentor junior team members.
Project Delivery
5. Contribute to tasks related to Microsoft 365 and Azure Services.
6. Support activities for Data Centre migration and Change initiatives.
Service Development
7. Consult internally and externally to improve service provision.
8. Suggest system and process improvements aligned with the architectural roadmap.
9. Stay current with market trends and emerging technologies.
Key Skills & Experience
10. Proven experience supporting enterprise solutions on Microsoft 365 and Azure.
11. Strong background in 3rd Line Incident Management and ITIL principles.
12. Expertise in On-Premise Windows Infrastructure (AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
13. Experience working within project teams.
14. Excellent communication skills and ability to support end users both onsite and remotely.
