About the role:

Acting as Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Business Partner, you role will entail:

Responsibility for the GB Materials Balance Sheet with specific focus on Land and property balances
Support on delivery of month end / year end timetable for a subset of the business
To ensure financial deadlines are met in an accurate and timely manner
Line manager to Assistant Management Accountants to support with their work and personal development
Responsibility for the completion of month end, ensuring that all property processes, accounting and journals are completed on an accurate and timely basis
Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and review those prepared by the Assistant Management Accountants relating to property
Support for any additional year end submissions to Group Finance and Tax teams
Support information requests from the external auditors on key technical subjects, including restoration provisions and impairment of assets.
Provide support to the preparation of Forecast and Budget for the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow
Provide support to Continuous Improvement initiatives

About you:
You will be a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) accountant with a sound technical finance grounding.

FRS16 experience would be ideal however is not essential as preferred candidates for this role are individuals who can demonstrate an appetite to learn and develop themselves within the business.

Prior line management experience is not essential however would be desirable.
