Job Overview

Support Worker
Location: Willerby, Hull
Pay: £15.50 per hour (days/waking nights) | £10 per hour (sleep-ins)
Hours: 30 hours per week – Waking Nights, 9:00pm – 8:00am

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced male Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young boy living in his family home in Willerby, Hull. This individual lives with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and an Acquired Brain Injury, and enjoys trips to the beach, pub lunches, football, walking, and dancing. Your role will focus on providing safe, engaging, and person-centred support that encourages his independence and enriches his daily life.


What You’ll Need

* Previous experience supporting individuals with Autism and Challenging Behaviour
* A full UK Driving Licence – this role involves getting out and about locally
* To be local to or familiar with the Willerby, Hull area
* A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach

What will your shift involve?

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis during the day and 1:1 basis during the night, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.

This role sits within our LD&A family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Team Leader.
