Senior Support Worker Care and Support - Vane Hill Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £13.00 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 46 Vane Hill Care Home is a specialist service in Torquay, set across two Victorian houses overlooking Torbay. The home provides structured, enablement focused support for adults living with mental health conditions, including Korsakoff’s syndrome and Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, promoting independence, stability and wellbeing. Senior Support Worker – Days £13.00 per hour Contracted to 46 hours per week, worked over 4 days Day shifts only Pension, paid DBS, uniform provided Onsite parking 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts and support the wider team to deliver high quality, person centred care within a structured and supportive environment. Your role will focus on ensuring consistency, safety and a positive atmosphere across the home. You will support residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines, promoting independence, dignity and choice at all times. You will oversee care delivery, ensuring support plans are followed accurately and that any changes in residents’ needs are recognised and responded to appropriately. You will take responsibility for medication management, ensuring safe administration and accurate documentation. Working closely with the management team, you will support team development, communication and the overall quality of the service. Your role will have a direct impact on residents’ wellbeing, confidence and quality of life.
