Blacksmith / Fabricator / Plater
A Blacksmith/ Fabricator/ Plater position for AG Brown Ltd plays a crucial role, they are responsible for fabricating components from fabrication drawings and performing welding operations .
We are looking for an experinced Blacksmith / Fabricator / Plater, must have a good eye for detail, be able to work to tight deadlines, and can work both independently and as part of a team.
Here are the key aspects of the job role
· Reading and interpreting Fabrication drawings: The fabricator needs to be able to understand and work from fabrication drawings and specifications to create metal components or structures.
· Material Preparation: This includes cutting, grinding, burning, and shaping metal pieces to the specifications outlined in the fabrication drawings supplied by the Production Manager.
· Welding: Welding techniques such as MAG, TIG, and MMA. would be desirable
· Site Work: You may be required to work out on site as and when required
· Assembling Components: The fabricator must be competent at assembling and fitting together fabricated metal parts to create finished products or structures.
· Quality Control: Ensuring that the finished product meets quality standards and specifications is a crucial aspect of the job.
· Problem-solving: The ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to challenges that may arise during the fabrication and welding process.
· Attention to detail: Precision is crucial in both welding and fabrication processes to ensure the final product meets specifications
· Communications Skills: Effective communication with the foreman, chargehand, and customers if required.
· Health & Safety: Adhering to the health and safety guidelines and procedures is of the utmost importance in this role. A fabricator welder works with potentially hazardous materials and equipment, so they must prioritise
* Monthly pay
* 7:30am - 17:15pm Monday - Thursday ( 4 day week )
* 7:00am - 1:00pm Friday ( overtime shift )
* Over time available
* Hourly rate from £15.50 to £17.50

The ideal candidate will have min 3 years of experience.
