My client, a research and development company specialising in the use of composite materials to produce high-performance structures based in Chippenham, are currently looking for a CNC Programmer with 5‑axis experience to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Hypermill knowledge would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
* Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including selecting and installing appropriate tooling and fixtures.
* Program CNC machines using CAM software to generate toolpaths and optimise machining processes.
* Perform test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure adherence to quality standards and production requirements.
* Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance as needed to ensure smooth production flow.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise machining processes and improve overall efficiency.
* Conduct thorough inspections of finished parts to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, including tooling setups, program revisions, and production logs.
Requirements
* Experience of 5‑axis CNC machining.
* Good attention to detail.
* Practical skills and experience with hand tools and machinery.
* Familiarity with engineering drawings.
* Understanding of inspection measuring equipment.
* Have good communication skills.
