Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Worksop (S81) Salary: £460 – £600 per week (depending on experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time Are you an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant ready to support students and make a positive impact in the classroom? GSL Education are seeking dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Worksop (S81). As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide additional support to pupils, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Main Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional assistance Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and learning resources Encourage student participation and engagement during lessons Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment Support classroom behaviour management in line with school policies Assist students with their learning activities and academic tasks Work collaboratively with teachers and staff to support student progress Requirements of a Teaching Assistant (TA): Experience working with children or young people is desirable A patient, supportive, and positive approach to working with students Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff A genuine interest in supporting students’ learning and development An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing a new application.
