Health & Safety Manager - Operations - Permanent - Reading and site visits as required.
Mobile Telecoms Infrastructure
The Operational Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for advising on new, emerging, and present Health and Safety risks associated with the Operational Site Maintenance and Estates Assurance projects and will be responsible for:
Supporting the Operational teams to assess and manage Health and Safety reported Hazards.
Supporting the Operational Project teams to suitably assess Health and Safety Risks and implement mitigation plans, ensuring effective monitoring and governance.
Monitoring and reporting on all Health and Safety Risks across the Estate.
Consulting with the Estates Management team and Legal teams to establish all Site Provider Health and Safety Risks.
Producing effective performance reports that include trend analysis.
Supporting the Operational maintenance suppliers on all Health and Safety related matters and supplier related governance and issues.
Producing effective Health and Safety performance reports, risks, and mitigation plans.

What You’ll Do
• Support Operational Project teams to assess and categorise reported site hazards
• Escalate emerging risks and issues to the Head of HSQE & the Head of Operations
• Providing a level of governance across the Centralised Estate Risk Register
• Support the Operations teams and the maintenance contractor to triage and prioritise health and safety hazards reported.
• Support the Access Management Team on safety related issues and advice
• Support the Operational project teams to identify and correctly categorise health and safety risks
• Consult with the Estates Management team on Site Provider health and safety risks and issues
• Support the HSQE Incident Manager investigation process

Experience Required
• Good general all round Regulatory knowledge of the mobile infrastructure industry
• Experience in conducting risk assessments
• Experience in conducting health and safety audits and inspection
• Preferred NEBOSH Certificate in construction (or general as a minimum).
• Experience working in an operational role in telecoms or construction environments
• IOSH registered member
• Experienced in working in a Safety Support role
