Senior Internal Auditor
A Local Authority in North London are looking to appoint a Senior Internal Auditor on an Interim basis. Spencer Clarke Group are working with the client to find the successful candidate.
About the role:
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you'll lead on a portfolio of complex and high-profile audits, while supervising an Internal Auditor.
You'll work closely with stakeholders across all Council departments, schools, partner organisations, and local authority trading companies-making a real impact across the organisation.

Rates: £32 - £40.21 per hour, inside IR35.*Negotiable based on experience

Hybrid working / 2 Days in Office per week
Contract type: Contract (35 hrs a week)
Contract Length 6-9 Months
Hours: 09:00 -17:30
Based in the North London (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
The post holder will engage with senior officers across the Council and its commercial ventures.
The post holder will be required to liaise with other members of staff in the Audit, Fraud and Insurance Service on operational matters.
The post holder will represent the Audit, Fraud and Insurance Service as required with internal groups and external organisations, for example, external auditors, Cross Council Assurance Service groups and other local authorities.
About you:
You will have the following experience:
Experience of delivering a portfolio of audits across a range of areas in a client facing role.
Experience of managing staff preferably, but not necessarily, in an audit function.
Experience of building relationships and working with senior managers and other key stakeholders, for example delivery partners, external auditors, etc. Experience of leading and managing teams.
