Engineering Vocational Assessor

We are working with an education provider in the Lancashire area who are looking for an Engineering Vocational Assessor to join their team on a full‑time and permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be based at the main centre in Lancashire and will be responsible for vocationally assessing Engineering apprentices on their industrial skills. The role may require coverage of both Mechanical and Electrical apprentices, but a single‑skilled engineer may also be considered.
The position also involves traveling to workplaces in areas such as Preston, Leyland, Blackburn and Burnley, with the caseload arranged to be as close to the assessor’s home address as possible.
The starting salary is between £31,500 and £33,500 per annum and includes a workplace pension, business mileage expenses, free parking, health cover, life insurance, three dedicated annual CPD days, in‑house training and 29 days paid holiday (plus Bank Holidays).
To be eligible for the position, you must have:
* An Engineering qualification
* Over 5 years of post‑apprenticeship industry experience
* An assessor award or a willingness to achieve one
