Security Vetting Manager

We are looking to recruit a Security Vetting Manager for a global technology company. The Security Vetting Manager will lead and shape a best-in-class vetting capability within my client's organisation.
This is a fully remote role and the successful candidate will need to hold existing SC or DV Clearance.
This is a pivotal role, ensuring the highest standards of security, compliance, and onboarding excellence across the UK. You will have a particular focus on government and police vetting, aligning processes with UKSV policies and IPSA accreditation standards.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a vetting professional to take ownership of security vetting operations, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in maintaining national security standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead on vetting strategy, ensuring best practice across national security clearances (BPSS, CTC, SC, DV, NPPV2/3).
* Oversee compliance, governance, and record-keeping in line with UKSV and GDPR requirements.
* Own and implement vetting processes throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to aftercare.
* Make final decisions on flagged cases, managing appeals and evidence gathering as required.
* Lead IPSA accreditation activities to obtain UKSV sponsor status within 12 months.
* Provide training and guidance to employees and managers on clearance responsibilities and security culture.
* Act as senior liaison for internal stakeholders and external customers, ensuring vetting requirements are met.
* Represent the organisation in national vetting forums and working groups.
* Line manage and support the Vetting Specialist, acting as the escalation point for complex cases.
About You
* Extensive experience in UK security vetting and screening operations.
* Strong knowledge of National Security Vetting (BPSS, CTC, SC, DV) and Police Vetting (NPPV2/3).
* A proven track record in leading vetting or compliance functions.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proactive, decisive, and able to work autonomously while managing sensitive information responsibly.
