Description WIMBORNE PRIMARY SCHOOL ELSA- Emotional Literacy Support Assistant Salary: Pay band 4 £17,648 - £18,538 (pro rata) (£24,420 - £25,652 FTE) Contract : Term Time only, Mon-Fri 8:45 a.m. – 3:25 p.m. Start Date : 18 th May 2026 We are looking for an enthusiastic, nurturing individual to join our successful and supportive Pastoral Team. As an ELSA you will work closely with children on a one-to-one or small group basis to support their emotional development, helping them to understand and manage their feelings, build resilience and develop healthy coping strategies. You’ll also liaise with teaching staff and parents to ensure a consistent approach to emotional support across the school. Support will be within the classroom and through interventions.
