The Opportunity:
Join Hamilton Lane as a Senior Associate on our Sustainability Team who is responsible for developing our corporate and investment sustainability strategy and partnering across Hamilton Lane to advance the responsible investment agenda. Our team strives to be collaborative both internally and externally seeking to deliver advancements to our approach to serving our clients investors and stakeholders.
As a Senior Associate in our Sustainability team you will play a crucial role in supporting strategic development managing projects and creating advanced content that drive our sustainability initiatives forward. You will work closely with experts across all areas of private markets to execute within this role. Broad curiosity as well as the ability to learn new skills build collaborative relationships and think globally are fundamental to success.
Your responsibilities will be to:
* Project Management: Plan and manage sustainability projects from inception to completion ensuring timely delivery and continuous stakeholder management
* Content Development: Develop and oversee the creation of advanced sustainability content including reports presentations and technical documents
* External Engagement: Represent Hamilton Lane in external engagements such as client investment partner and industry contexts
* Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior team members fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment
* Research and Analysis: Conduct indepth research on various sustainability related topics and make recommendations on how they can be integrated into strategic thinking and execution
* Stakeholder Communication: Prepare and present project plans and updates to stakeholders ensuring clear and effective communication
Your background will include:
* Education: Bachelors Degree
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in corporate sustainability or sustainability consulting
* Technical Skills: Strong technical writing skills including long form writing; advanced PowerPoint skills; intermediate or higher Excel skills; ability to apply new technologies to execute within role
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly present complex sustainability and analytical findings to nontechnical audiences
* Numeracy Skills: High level of numeracy with the ability to perform financial or strategic calculations accurately and efficiently
* Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
* Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy of deliverables
* Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainability regulatory requirements carbon accounting/GHG calculations and responsible investment ecosystem
