Job Description The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide therapy services in partnership with carers, educators, and statutory agencies. Responsibilities include identifying caseloads, assessing and reviewing interventions aligned with EHCP objectives, and planning appropriate individual and group therapy strategies. The therapist will attend progress reviews, collaborate with colleagues for integrated care, and focus on emotional, physical, and communication needs.
Core Responsibilities
* Coordinate therapy interventions to meet the needs outlined in EHCPs.
* Manage therapy caseload while adhering to professional standards.
* Deliver verbal and written reports to stakeholders as required.
* Provide feedback to the Therapy Lead regarding current interventions and provisions.
* Liaise with families and carers to share roles and responsibilities of therapies.
* Implement evidence-based strategies and measure outcomes.
* Participate in EHCP reviews and support school-wide training initiatives.
* Lead staff and therapy meetings as needed.
* Address barriers to learning and support pupils in achieving their full potential.
* Maintain relationships with pupils and carers, providing guidance on therapeutic programmes.
