Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team.
This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
* Checking subcontractor and supplier invoices against agreed and forecasted values (material price, labour rate, day rate, quantities etc)
* Prioritising workload to ensure payment deadlines are met
* Passing verified invoices over to payroll for the payment to be processed
* Filing after photos, satisfaction notes, installation reports appropriately
* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice related issues
Requirements
* Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous.
* Strong numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
