We're now looking for a General Manager for our Derby site, a dynamic leader who can inspire teams, deliver operational excellence, and build strong customer partnerships. Typical Day
* Lead Site Operations & Safety: Oversee all operational activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, driving a Safety-First culture, and managing risk mitigation projects.
* Performance & KPI Management: Monitor site performance metrics (financial, operational, and customer-related), review deviations with Operations Managers, and implement improvement plans.
* Team Leadership & Development: Manage and coach a team of operational leaders, align roles and responsibilities, enable training programs, and support succession planning.
* Customer Engagement & Business Growth: Conduct business reviews, maintain strong customer relationships, identify growth opportunities, and support cross‑selling initiatives.
* Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Drive process standardization, oversee OMS confirmations, track improvement initiatives, and ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental requirements.

* Customer‑Focused & Influential: Someone skilled in building and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships, managing client accounts, and influencing outcomes to deliver results.
* Operational Leadership Expertise: Experience in managing or supporting key operational functions within a logistics or supply chain environment, with a strong understanding of end‑to‑end processes. Ideal for individuals who have led teams or projects, or contributed to operational improvements.
