Wayman Group is currently seeking a motivated and passionate History teacher to join a lovely independent school in Barnet starting in April. Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging and organized lessons in History to students in line with the national curriculum.
* Assess and monitor students' progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate their development.
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' curiosity and enthusiasm for History.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies that meet the needs of individual students.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' achievements, attendance, and behavior.
* Communicate with parents/guardians regularly, providing updates on students' progress and addressing any concerns.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
Requirements
* Hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in History or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in the UK.
* Proven experience teaching History within a primary or secondary school setting.
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum for History.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A passion for teaching and a commitment to creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively plan lessons and manage workload.
* A growth mindset and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
