2 x PLC Programmers Required – Contract Roles (Immediate Start)
We are currently looking for two experienced PLC Programmers for short-term contract assignments in the North of England, located between Leeds and York.
These roles are available for an immediate start and will suit strong automation engineers who can deliver in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Key Details
* Location: North of England (Leeds / York corridor)
* Rate: £45 per hour (Outside IR35)
* Duration: 8–12 weeks
* Start: Immediate
* Shift: Double days (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00)
* On-site role
Role 1 – Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLC Programmer
We are seeking a PLC engineer with strong experience in:
* Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 development and commissioning
* Complex automation system delivery
* PLC programming, debugging and optimisation
* Industrial control system integration
* End-to-end project delivery in automation environments
Ideal candidates will have experience delivering complex, high-performance automation projects from build through to commissioning.
Role 2 – Allen Bradley PLC Programmer
We are also looking for an experienced Allen Bradley specialist with:
* Strong Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 experience
* Background in packaging machinery or production lines
* PLC programming, fault finding, and machine optimisation
* Experience with conveyors, robotics, or automated packaging systems
* Ability to diagnose and resolve live production issues
What We’re Looking For (Both Roles)
* Strong PLC engineering background across industrial environments
* Hands-on experience in manufacturing, FMCG, packaging or similar sectors
* Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure
* Experience across multiple automation systems is highly beneficial
