Job Description

General Manager: Firbeson Automation UK Ltd.

Company Profile: Firbeson Automation UK Ltd is located on Cosgrove Way, Luton, Bedfordshire, near London Luton Airport and the M1 motorway. The parent company is based in the Far East and specialises in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of valve actuators.

The UK branch has been newly established and is now fully operational. The company aims to appoint a General Manager responsible for market development, team leadership, and business operations across the UK, Europe, and globally.

Location: Luton. On-site, long-term work within the UK is required.

Job Description:

1. Overall responsibility for UK operations, focusing on market expansion, sales, and customer development.

2. Leading a team to achieve the company’s sales targets, credit controls, and profit objectives, and being accountable for the company’s operational results.

3. Capable of negotiating deals independently, securing projects, and expanding into new markets. Maintain and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, managers, and project clients through autonomous market expansion.

4. Manage daily operations, personnel arrangements, process standardisation, and cost control within UK teams.

5. Ensure effective communication with headquarters, coordinating supply, delivery, technical support, and related activities.

6. Operate within a straightforward assembly model, emphasising sales and operational efficiency.

Job Requirements:

1. Experience in relevant fields such as HVAC, valve and damper actuators, building automation, valve actuation, and similar areas, with senior industry expertise.

2. Proven sales and market experience in the UK and Europe. If you are with an existing portfolio of clients, project resources, and industry contacts will be prioritised.

3. Background in managing sales teams, regional operations, or general management. Previous roles as a General Manager, Sales Director, or Regional Manager will be prioritised.

4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead, negotiate, engage with customers, and manage daily activities independently.

5. A strong sense of purpose, integrity, responsibility, and the ability to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

6. Basic operational management skills are sufficient; extensive production or manufacturing experience is not required.

Remuneration and Benefits:

1. Fixed annual salary: £45,000-£65,000.

2. Profit sharing: 10%–15% of annual net profit as a management dividend, with no upper limit.

3. Standard UK benefits, including paid annual leave, statutory holidays, pension schemes, and more.

4. Travel and business development expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policies.
