Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will support dentists in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring clinical procedures run smoothly and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
* Prepare and sterilise instruments and equipment in line with infection control standards
* Ensure the surgery is clean, organised, and ready for each patient
* Provide reassurance and support to patients before, during, and after treatment
* Maintain accurate patient records and update clinical notes as required
* Handle and process dental materials (e.g., impressions, fillings)
* Support radiography procedures (if qualified)
* Manage stock levels and order supplies when necessary
* Follow all health and safety, cross-infection, and compliance regulations
Requirements
* Qualified Dental Nurse with relevant certification (e.g., NEBDN or equivalent)
* Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) (if applicable)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
* Ability to work well in a team and in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of dental software systems (desirable)
* Radiography qualification (desirable but not essential)
