At JamPot Productions, we have an opportunity for Assistant Producer to join the team for a fixed term until the end of December 2025. The Assistant Producer plays a key supporting role in the development and production of our diverse portfolio of podcasts. Working closely with the Executive Producer and wider editorial and production team, this individual will ensure the smooth running of all production processes across multiple shows.
Key Accountabilities:
Production Coordination:
1. Support pre-production planning, including episode research, script drafting, and booking contributors.
2. Assist in organising and attending recordings (in studio and remote), managing logistics and technical requirements.
3. Ensure all show related paperwork is complete and well-organised to support the smooth running of shows.
4. Assist with the creation of cue cards, sourcing of props and preparation of sets for all shows.
Editorial Support:
1. Contribute ideas to team brainstorms and development of new podcast formats..
2. Prepare guest briefs and research docs under the guidance of the Producer / Executive Producer.
3. Create copy for episode descriptions and titles.
Post-Production and Delivery:
1. Liaise with editors and sound engineers to ensure smooth post-production workflow.
2. Assist in quality checking final episodes and assets before publication.
3. Ensure all audio, transcripts, and show notes are delivered on time and meet platform specifications.
4. Quality check and upload content to the relevant platforms within the required timeframes.
Talent and Guest Liaison:
1. Ensure that guests are welcomed and have a great experience whilst recording with us.
2. Maintain accurate guest records and release forms.
3. Support the Producer/Exec Producer on set before and during recordings.
Administrative Support:
1. Help manage production calendars and recording schedules across multiple shows
2. Assist with budgeting, expenses tracking, and production documentation.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
1. Work with marketing and social media teams as required to support the delivery of great content that is consumed and enjoyed by our target audience.
The right candidate will have experience in a similar role in a media company.
This role is based full time in The Sweet Factory, our Marylebone office. The salary is up to £30k per annum and the initial term is to the end of December 2025.
