We have a fantastic Locum Social Work Opportunity based within a Learning Disability Team in the Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester area. The local authority work in a strength-based approach using a model of applied behavioural science, alongside person centred approaches.

Responsibilities:
* Conduct needs assessments under the Care Act 2014 to determine support requirements.
* Work with service users, their families, and carers to ensure they receive appropriate support.
* Assist with accessing housing, employment, education, and community resources.
* Respond to emergency situations, such as a breakdown in care or safeguarding concerns.
* Work within the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) framework.
* Advocate for peoples rights, ensuring their voice is heard in care decisions.
* Collaborate with health professionals, psychologists, occupational therapists, housing services, and advocacy groups
To be considered for the Social Worker role:
* 1-3 years experience of working within a similar social work setting
* Diploma/Degree in Social Work
* Registration with Social Work England
* Experience of working with people who have a learning disability, have care act, mental capacity act and best interests experience alongside risk management and multiagency working
