We're looking for a motivated and hands-on HIU Breakdown Engineer who's ready to build a rewarding career within one of the UK's leading district heating specialists. This company designs, installs, and maintains cutting-edge District Heating Systems across London and the South East. Having secured multiple major projects, they're expanding their engineering team and offering excellent opportunities for technical development and long-term stability.
As a Breakdown Engineer, you'll work closely with the Head of Residential Operations, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on HIUs, plant room equipment (non-gas), and associated pipework. You'll deliver high-quality workmanship, provide excellent customer service, and receive ongoing training to advance your career within this fast-growing business.
The Role
Diagnose and repair faults on HIU systems and associated components.
Carry out maintenance on pipework, valves, and fittings.
Attend breakdowns and complete reactive works across residential sites.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
Receive ongoing training and development with a clear pathway into a Senior Engineer role.
The Person
Experience in plumbing, heating, or mechanical maintenance (HIU experience desirable).
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent).
Unvented hot water qualification (desirable).
A proactive, motivated mindset with a desire to progress.
Full UK driving licence.
