We are seeking a caring, flexible and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team on a permanent basis. This role is to work within our school Early Years supporting children aged 2-5.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teachers to offer nurturing individualised support to our youngest learners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
2. Create a safe, caring and engaging learning environment
3. Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
4. Observe and asses children in the moment and offer extension and challenge through interaction.
5. Work effectively within a team to maintain high standards of care and education.
6. Promote safeguarding and act in accordance with school policies
We are looking for someone who:
7. Has Level 3 Early years qualification
8. Has experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting
9. Demonstrates a warm, caring and patient approach to young children
10. Is flexible, reliable and understands child centred approach
11. Is able to work collaboratively within a busy school environment
12. Is committed to inclusive practice and supporting the needs of all learners
13. Has good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
14. Experience in Early Years or with younger children, particularly supporting early communication and play.
15. Paediatric First Aid
16. Training in relational or trauma-informed approaches PACE, Thrive, or Nurture-based models).
