SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Location: Bognor Regis, West Sussex
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: £13.75/£14.00.
Are you a patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our caring and inclusive primary school in Bognor Regis this September.
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. This may involve one-to-one work, small group support, and helping to create a calm, structured environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social/emotional challenges
* Adapting learning activities and materials to suit individual needs
* Promoting independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
* Assisting with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
What We’re Looking For:
* A caring and resilient approach to supporting children with SEN
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Previous experience in an SEN or TA role is highly desirable
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, SEN training) are an advantage

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
