Role Overview:
The HR Booth is recruiting a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager for Forbes of Kingennie. The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and managing the kitchen team, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, managing kitchen operations, and contributing to the business’s growth.
About Forbes of Kingennie:
Forbes of Kingennie Resort offers diverse experiences for visitors, including relaxation and activities, located centrally in Scotland near Dundee and Tayside. The resort hosts weddings, corporate events, and serves an average of 1,500 meals weekly at its restaurant and bar. The business has exciting future investment plans, with the new Head Chef playing a key role in these developments.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and inspire the kitchen team to produce food to high standards and safety regulations.
2. Manage food production within budget, develop new menu items.
3. Oversee all kitchen operations, including workflow and delegation.
4. Work with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
5. Manage stock levels and minimize food waste.
6. Ensure health and safety compliance.
7. Build and maintain positive relationships within the team and with stakeholders.
