This role involves assisting and supporting vulnerable people with personal and social care, encouraging independence, and enabling them to remain in their own homes within their communities. It supports the promotion, delivery and integration of the key objectives in the Health & Social Care Partnership Plan and the Community Plan.

Requirements
* The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member prior to any formal offer of employment by East Ayrshire Council.
* PVG Scheme Record Update required if already a member; any information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to any formal offer.

* Provide details of a minimum of two appropriate and relevant references, one of which should be from your current or most recent employer. The reference from your current or most recent employer should be from an appropriate senior manager and not from a former peer at the same level.
Additional Information
* This is a part-time temporary post based within Adult Support Services across East Ayrshire.
* The post is temporary until 31/03/2026.
* Work Pattern: mixture of early, day & back shifts between hours of 7am - 11pm over 5 days with some sleepover provision required.
* Annual Salary: £25,026 - £26,202 inclusive of a 12.5% shift allowance.
