We are looking for a Volume Forecasting Intern to join our Energy markets team for a minimum of 3 months. This role offers a salary of £23,000 along with a market leading benefits package.

In the Volume Forecasting team within Energy Markets you will be helping us deliver industry leading forecasts using a variety of techniques.
What you’ll do:
1. Learn about the energy industry and how to forecast in an industry leading forecasting team
2. Gain insight into converting mathematical concepts into real world business solutions
3. Develop spreadsheet and coding skills in a business environment
4. Research and come up with ideas and opportunities for customer behaviour changes we might not have thought of yet, or haven’t had the resource to bottom out (EV’s, Time of Use, Cost of living impacts)
5. Support the Volume Forecasting team in simplifying complex modelling so business partners understand the impacts, including dashboard development
6. Work alongside industry experts and learn a lot about the gas and power industry
What we need from you
7. Current studies towards a degree with a high numerical content
8. Interest in the energy industry
9. Great communication skills and attention to detail
10. High level of numeracy, with an ability to code in any language an advantage
11. Comfortable working independently to set goals and objectives
Here’s what you need to know
12. Flexible working arrangement (anything between 10 and 37 hours a week)
13. Flexible contract length to fit your studies (with a minimum commitment of 2 months), with flexible start and end date
14. £23,000 pro rata salary
15. Hybrid working model (with a minimum of 40% in our Coventry office)
16. Guidance and supervision as and when it's needed
17. To learn about an ever evolving and developing industry
