Rail Site Coordinator

What you’ll do:
We’re looking for a Site Manager with a strong background in rail and a keen eye for project administration. This role is ideal for someone who is confident using Microsoft Word and Excel to support site operations, plan works, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager, you’ll coordinate a range of vegetation management and structures clearance works across the North – playing a vital role in planning, safety, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide project coordination and administrative support across multiple sites.
Create and maintain clear, professional documentation using Word and Excel – including task briefs, schedules, trackers, and audit records.
Assist with project planning, access scheduling, and resource coordination.
Support on-site teams and field staff to ensure safety, compliance, and smooth delivery.
Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
Carry out regular site audits and inspections alongside the Contracts Manager.
Support accurate pricing, scoping, and reporting for ongoing and upcoming works.
What we’re looking for:
Rail experience with valid PTS and COSS certifications
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Organised, detail-oriented, and confident in managing documentation
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with site and office teams
Strong understanding of health, safety, and compliance requirements
Desirable:
Familiarity with arboriculture or de-vegetation projects (training available if not)
SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH
First Aid at Work
