The post holder is responsible for driving the Council's Climate & Sustainability ambitions and will lead and assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of Council's Climate Change, Adaptation Plan, Sustainability Strategy and Action Plan and associated environmental management activities including Carbon Reduction Plans. They will be Responsible for assisting Climate Change performance improvement across all Council services, the post holder will identify, implement and monitor good practice. The post holder will lead on advising senior management and working groups on developing and delivering Sustainability objectives and improvement opportunities. The post holder will lead on the planning, organising and development of related programmes to ensure efficient and effective carbon, energy and utility management across the council estate: ensure the efficient provision of a comprehensive range of estates environmental sustainability, carbon and energy management services for all council properties and work in partnership across all directorates to enable the Council to meet its strategic objectives.
