Carbon60 is seeking skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanical Fitters to join their dynamic client based in Shropshire. As an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the company's UK MFTS (Rotary Wing) H135/H145 fleet.
This is a 6 month contract that is likely to be extended. Due to the nature of our client you will need to be able to obtain SC clearance. You will also need a Driving License.
Both PAYE and Umbrella hourly rates available.
Responsibilities
* Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations
* Accomplish Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer
* Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft
* Complete maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions
* Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required
* Assist in the day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities
Basic Qualifications
* Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or a related discipline
* Thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems
* Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance, and Aircraft Base Maintenance
* Experience in Base Maintenance and Flight Operations/Line Maintenance
Desirable Qualifications
* Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS
* Experience in Military Aviation
