We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Quality Manager to join our client's dynamic team. This role will involve overseeing the quality assurance and control for a £45m care home scheme in Chester. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in construction quality management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for maintaining the highest standards in residential / multi-room developments.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement and manage quality control procedures to ensure all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and compliance with quality standards.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive quality management documentation and reports.
* Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
* Provide training and support to site teams on quality control procedures and best practices.
* Review and approve materials, ensuring they meet project specifications and regulatory requirements.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes and legislation.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quality Manager in the construction industry, preferably in residential projects.
* In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality assurance techniques.
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and quality standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex situations effectively.
* Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
