This ASD tutor role is ideal if you are a newly qualified teacher, teaching assistant, SEN one-to-one or have any experience working with children looking for flexible work across the Towcester area. What’s the role of an ASD Tutor: Planning and delivering personalised tutoring lessons /sensory sessions tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of individuals on the autism spectrum. Working with children with ASD and providing face to face support within their home as well as across the local community. Managing challenging behaviour by implementing behavioural interventions and strategies. Planning resources around the child’s needs, this could be developing their knowledge in Maths and English or learning through play. Collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to support. Requirements for an ASD Tutor: Applying skills to raise pupils’ confidence and learning. QTS is desirable. Knowledge of autism spectrum disorders, including an understanding of sensory processing, communication, and social interaction challenges. Checking that pupils are on track to achieve their desired learning outcomes and being able to provide feedback. SEN experience (as teaching assistant, one-to-one or any other) Able to plan and deliver engaging, nurturing, and sensory sessions. Why work for TP tutors? This platform offers all the tools you will require to deliver online tuition and is recorded for safeguarding purposes and for revision purposes. Hourly rate of £25- £30 which is paid weekly Access to free safeguarding and CPD courses as well as free access to assessment tools and resources.
