Skipton Hotel is a welcoming and well-established establishment, offering guests a comfortable stay in the heart of North Yorkshire. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and ensuring guests have a seamless experience, day and night.
We are looking for a reliable and responsible Night Porter to oversee the hotel's operations during the night shift. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional, and proactive in ensuring the safety and comfort of guests.
This role is a minimum of 24 hours a week over three days, but there is an option for overtime.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests and handle check-ins/check-outs.
* Ensure the security of the hotel by conducting regular safety checks and monitoring the premises.
* Assist guests with any requests, such as luggage handling or general inquiries.
* Set up dining areas and function rooms or prepare for the next day's operations as required.
* Perform light housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure the hotel remains clean and well-presented.
* Handle any emergencies, such as fire alarms or guest concerns, in a calm and efficient manner.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a similar role or a hospitality/customer service background is beneficial but not essential.
* A responsible, dependable, and professional attitude.
* Ability to work independently and remain alert during night shifts.
