Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE

Overview
Our client is a leading industrial business with international reach is seeking a highly capable and commercially focused Management Accountant to take ownership of UK financial operations. This is a hands-on, strategically important role, reporting directly to the UK Managing Director and working closely with the Group Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong manufacturing or industrial experience who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver timely and accurate monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow reporting.
Lead the month-end close process and coordinate with auditors for year-end reporting.
Oversee VAT, HMRC compliance, Intrastat, and other regulatory filings.
Provide detailed analysis of product and customer profitability, advising on margin improvement.
Manage and mentor a small team
Support strategic planning, including budgets, forecasts, and international investment models.
Contribute to business acquisition activity, including financial modelling, feasibility studies, and due diligence support.
Take responsibility for credit control, purchase ledger, and cash management.
Ensure robust internal controls and continuous process improvement.
Collaborate with senior leadership on business plans and cost-modelling initiatives.
Experience required:
Fully or part qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent).
Sector experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial
Proven experience in financial reporting, cost analysis, and profitability modelling
Familiarity with production processes, Bill of Materials, and variance analysis.
Proficient in accounting systems (e.g. Sage, SAP) and Excel-based modelling.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence key stakeholders.
