Senior Platform Engineer – DevOps / FinOps
Location: Remote or Hybrid with occasional visit to Leeds or London office
Salary: 75,000 - 90,000

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong FinOps expertise to join a high-performing, collaborative team building next-generation solutions for a global technology leader.
What You’ll Do
* Lead cost optimisation initiatives across cloud infrastructure and platform services.
* Design and implement automated cost controls and real-time cost visibility tools.
* Develop self-service solutions for engineering teams to monitor and manage costs.
* Establish best practices and playbooks for cost efficiency.
* Collaborate with technical leaders and stakeholders to maximise platform value.
* Contribute to the platform engineering roadmap, focusing on automation and scalability.
What We’re Looking For
* FinOps Certified Practitioner/Professional.
* Strong experience with AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Budgets, Anomaly Detection).
* Expertise in Kubernetes, containerisation, and infrastructure automation.
* Hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code.
* Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
* Ability to translate technical costs into business-friendly metrics.
* Collaborative mindset with strong influencing skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with DataDog or similar observability platforms.
* Familiarity with developer tools like GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
